To Be or Not to B(ordeaux)
May 2, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Bordeaux has always been a source of inspiration for new wine regions worldwide, known for its exceptional, rare, and luxurious wines. During one of my recent journeys, I pondered this question: Would it be easy to recognize whites, reds, and sweet wines from this region or elsewhere, in a blind taste test?
Taste eight prestigious vintages, including Ygrec from Château d’Yquem and Ornellaia Bogheri sup. 2020, paired with a selection of gourmet cheeses and charcuterie. Guided by Fabio Miccoli, awarded Best Sommelier of Switzerland, Italy, and Germany.
Programme:
Presentation of the specificities of viticulture and production of four great Bordeaux wines and the same grape varieties from other wine regions
Comparative Wine Tasting:
- Y d’Yquem, Sauvignon blanc Bordeaux 2021
- Didier Dagueneau « Silex » Sauvignon blanc 2020 – Loire
- Château Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Médoc 2001
- Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, Ornellaia, Bolgheri Superiore 2020 – Toscane
- Château Canon, St Emilion Grand cru classé 2014
- Merlot del Malcantone, Montagna Magica, HuberVini 2021 – Tessin
- Château Climens, 1er Cru Classé Barsac – 2010
- Riesling Altenberg A.R. Beerenauslese, Van Volxem – 2018 – Moselle – Allemagne
